How many miles do your engines and transmissions have on them?
All of our inventory that are imported from Japan come out of running cars and have about 45-65K miles on them. Due to Japan’s shaken law ( a rigorous auto inspection law), Japanese vehicle owners find it expensive and illogical to continue maintaining their vehicles. This is where JDM Engine Depot steps in and imports these low-mileage engines and transmissions to our warehouse in NJ.
How long does shipping take?
Our warehouse is located in Belleville, NJ so any neighboring states will experience faster shipping. Shipping out to the west coast averages about 5-15 business days.
Can I put an engine that was not intended for my vehicle?
Theoretically, you can put any engine into any car. As far as “HOW”, it would be best to consult with a certified mechanic that has experience. Please do not ask live chat support mechanical questions as they are only there to answer basic questions. It is the customer’s responsibility to do his/her own research regarding unintended fitment. For all other installations, please use the long block only.
What is the long block of an engine?
Long block is an automotive term for an engine sub-assembly that consists of the assembled block, crankshaft, cylinder head, camshaft (usually), and valve train. A long block does not include fuel system, electrical, intake, and exhaust components, as well as other components.
